The sheet is anodized on one side and protects the material from abrasion and will not chip, flake, or peel like paint. The anodized aluminum's superior scratch and abrasion resistance will provide better durability and therefore better appearance over time.

Anodizing is an electrochemical process that grows an anodic layer from the substrate thus protecting the metal from the elements. Anodized aluminum is corrosion and abrasion-resistant and does not chip, peel, or flake. In addition, UV stable colors are long lasting and are more fingerprint-resistant than other metals. Anodized aluminum is light-weight, strong and durable-sometimes even more so than metals such as stainless and copper. Anodized aluminum is aesthetically beautiful and can be used for a variety of decorative products that mimic the look of other metals.
Everything about our anodized aluminum is “green” or sustainable from the base material to the anodizing process to the finished product. It is 100% recyclable and contains zero Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC). Anodized aluminum is cost-effective and long-lasting making it a preferred choice for signage projects. It has excellent bonding characteristics, providing an ideal base for adhesion of paints, inks, substrates, and vinyl film.
