This seal kit includes a brush seal for covering gaps on a dock leveler to eliminate drafts, dirts and pests from getting in, while keeping debris from falling into the pit (excellent for the food industry). Dock Leveler Seal Kits are designed with a heavy galvanized channel for a quick-weld installation. Each kit contains two 8-ft. Pieces of galvanized channel, our standard 1-inch 90-degree aluminum retainer and a weatherseal to meet the specifications of your job. The heavy-duty galvanized channel is specially designed to work with our standard 1-inch aluminum weather seal retainers, so they simply slide into place and are welded firmly to the dock leveler. Once the retainer and galvanized channel are welded into place the 1/2-inch brush seal is easily threaded through the channel for DIY installation and straightforward seal replacement. the brushes' flexible bristles bend and compress against pit walls to create a tight seal. The bristles are made from durable polypropylene filaments that won’t hold water, freeze in sub-zero temperatures, and are tightly wound around a metal rod to prevent them from being pulled out from use.
