These dBTile Gym Floor Tile Standard Colors 2.5 Inch x 2x2 Ft. with Quad Blok rubber tiles have the ability to stand up to extreme workout conditions. Where less durable and thinner tiles could collapse or smash under the pressure of weightlifting equipment, our shock absorbing gym mats will stand up to almost anything.Versus the standard black rubber flooring options found in a typical exercise center, our tiles offer a few different color options that can create a more inviting area for athletes. Customers will want to visit the business more often when the atmosphere and design of the building is warm and friendly.
Customers can count on the outstanding durability and long-lasting build quality found with our shock absorbing gym mats. These tiles carry a 15-year limited manufacturer’s warranty.
At 2.5 inches in thickness, the tiles are able to absorb energy from impacts more efficiently than thinner tiles made of other materials. These tiles deliver a force reduction absorption of impact energy rating of 67.7%, while carrying an energy restitution return of impact energy measurement of 46.1%.With such a high level of impact absorption, some of our customers install these shock absorbing gym mats in areas where small children may have a risk of falling while playing, such as at an indoor playground.
More commonly, though, these tiles appear in fitness centers, especially those that involve weightlifting equipment. Customers can use these tiles with free weights and platform-style weightlifting. Use dBTile Gym Floor Tile Standard Colors 2.5 Inch x 2x2 Ft. and RageTurf dBTile 2.5 Inch x 24x24 Inches, to create a dual workout area, of rubber and turf.
The slip resistant wear layer on the top of the tiles uses a patented technology called Ultra to ensure the greatest level of durability and long-lasting performance. Weightlifters can take advantage of the slip resistance by using the flooring as leverage when attempting large lifts.
Additionally, these mats offer superior noise absorption. When athletes drop weights onto the floor, the rubber material will yield sound reduction for the area. This is ideal for a school weightlifting area or for a fitness center inside a strip mall, where others in the building will not want to hear excessive noise.
The acoustical properties of these tiles are highly advantageous versus other styles of flooring that may appear in an athletic club or fitness center. Our mats can handle nearly any type of workout, but the manufacturer does not recommend using them for Olympic-style weightlifting sessions.
Installers will make use of the Quad Blok installation system to lay out these tiles. This system involves placing a Quad Blok piece on the subfloor and then inserting the cylindrical pegs on the bottom of each rubber tile into the perforations on the Quad Blok base piece.
Installers have the option of using adhesive to secure the tiles to the Quad Bloks, or they can simply use the Quad Blok system without glue. The Quad Blok system works best when placed over a concrete subfloor. It also will work over a plywood base, but it’s not as secure as with concrete. In a wall-to-wall installation, customers will need to cut some tiles to fit. Each tile measures 24 by 24 inches, and the manufacturer does not recommend installing a piece cut to less than 12 inches in width or length.
If this will happen, adjust the positioning of the tiles elsewhere in the room before beginning installation to allow for larger cut pieces at the edges.
Each tile includes one Quad Blok Connector 8x8 Inches for 2.5 Inch tiles.
